A Multi-generational community mews street proposal for a tight urban infill site sitting between a train station and terraced housing. Our proposal knits together two housing types which address all generations. A shared mews street sits in between 1 bed accessible bungalows for the elderly and 4 bed family townhouses.
To the North of the site are five single-store one-bed accessible units, with a view to catering for elderly residents who are looking to downsize their accommodation, releasing equity from their existing home while retaining their independence.
To the South of the site are five three-storey town-house style developments, which step back at first floor level and are castellated at second floor level, allowing light through to the mews and the bungalows.
